While working as Principal Standards Officer at the Nigeria Standards Organisation (now Standards Organisation of Nigeria), Engr Humphrey C. N. Adibe represented Nigeria at the 6th United Nations International Development Organization (UNIDO) In-Plant Group Training Program in Quality Control in Sweden between 7th August and 12th October 1978.

The other sponsors of the training aside UNIDO are Swedish International Development Authority (SIDA), Bjorklund & Sandholm AB and Swedish Employers Confederation, the Training Centre ALI-RATI.
